Coca cola corporate novelty cake

“Coca-Cola history began in 1886 when the curiosity of an Atlanta pharmacist, Dr. John S. Pemberton, led him to create a distinctive tasting soft drink that could be sold at soda fountains. He created a flavored syrup, took it to his neighborhood pharmacy, where it was mixed with carbonated water and deemed “excellent” by those who sampled it. Dr. Pemberton’s partner and bookkeeper, Frank M. Robinson, is credited with naming the beverage “Coca‑Cola” as well as designing the trademarked, distinct script, still used today.” from Coke Cola’s website.

These rich cholate Coca Cola “can” cakes were canned and collected at Cake Boys premises in New Redruth, Alberton on the 18 September 2014

These cakes are for long service awards for loyal staff members at Coca Cola.

Life sized Coca Cola cans made of cake were made to lie on a bed of poured sugar ice cubes. Each can was individualized with the trade mark ‘share a coke…’ and the person’s name that had gotten the award. Edible water droplets accentuate the typical red of a coke can. The Coca Cola cakes were painted with edible silver food colouring to give it a real ‘can’ feeling. J

Each can was enclosed in a transparent plastic cylinder and adorned with a vibrant red ribbon.

These delightful Coca Cola cake cans where made over a period of 2 days and require a high degree of skill as the product was made to scale.

Each can was made of rich moist chocolate cake with a white chocolate filling.

The reaction of the client when he came to collect these coca cola cake cans was one of disbelief and astonishment.

Because of the great response to the coca cola cakes more are sure to follow.
